So I’ve fallen into another little blogging slump lately because I’m a bridesmaid in THREE weddings this summer! That means pretty much all of my weekends are booked for the next couple months, which is when I normally get most of my posts written. So bear with me as I try to get into a new routine.
In the meantime, check out my Jungle Book nail art tutorial that I did at work for Disney Style! I’m pretty much obsessed with the tropical palm leaf trend, so I never wanted to take this manicure off!
Hey everybody, I did a thing! I’m so excited to announce that I worked on a collab with Allure to create cover-inspired manicures for their spring reads!
I’ll put up a full look at each manicure soon, but check out a peek at what I created!
Make sure you head over to Allure to see the full gallery! Happy Reading!
GUYS! WE GOT OUR FIRST LOOK AT THE SECOND ILLUSTRATED HARRY POTTER BOOK TODAY OMG!Clearly I’m really stoked. The illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has become one of my most prized possessions, so this news is seriously so exciting. I mean, that phoenix. And Hagrid. It’s just too much beauty to handle. Especially since we have to wait until October to get our hands on this beauty. It’s ok… deep breaths and we’ll be fine…
Happy Easter! This year, we had the cutest gold foil eggs in our house, and I was definitely inspired by them for my Easter nails. I used a dry brush nail art technique on top of a pastel rainbow. To achieve this look, wipe off a majority of the polish from the brush on the side of the bottle, and then gently sweep across your nails in various directions. It’s a super simple technique, and I even used two different golds to add some extra dimension!
Taking a page out of Pantone’s book, this year’s spring color trends are filled with peaceful & tranquil shades and pops of vivid brights. Along with Rose Quartz and Serenity, I’ve pulled together a few polishes that I’m loving for spring!Rose Quartz & Serenity Pale pink and pastel periwinkle are perfect colors for spring, and they also happen to be Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year. My favorite selections for these two colors are Essie Bikini So Teeny – no surprise here! – and Julep Martha.
Coral & Turquoise These are two of my favorite colors to wear from spring into summer. They are slightly more vibrant than my first two picks, but are still subtle enough for these next couple months. wHet Nails Hubris and Julep Alyssa are spot on for this trend.
Pops & SparklePantone’s Spring Trend Report noted that bright pops are the perfect contrast to the otherwise very calming and tranquil spring selections. Enter, Butter London Cheeky Chops, the ultimate combination of pastel and bright yellow. Another popular trend this season is jewel tones, like the gorgeous Essie Starry Starry Night. And if you’re feeling adventurous this spring, glitter top coats, like Julep Melody, are perfect to add a little something extra to your manicure.
What colors do you love to wear during spring? Let me know if I mentioned one of your favorites! Happy Reading!
Welcome back, spring – my favorite season! I don’t think I’ll ever tire of pastel books, so naturally a pretty, spring-inspired shelfie to celebrate the return of this lovely season is totally necessary! My top pics for spring nail colors are coming soon, so keep an eye out for those.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day people! In my world, this day really comes down to green & gold nail art and taking pictures with green things… So here’s a fun photo of just that!
I went with a simple color-blocked design for these nails, with a couple polka dot accents. St. Patrick’s Day is one holiday where I’m not a huge fan of literal manicures, so every year it’s my mission to find new, CUTE ways to celebrate this holiday. I’m pretty sure this is my favorite one yet!
